London’s biggest Christmas tree

A massive 67 foot Christmas tree – the tallest in London – will be the latest edition to the iconic City skyline. The Eastern City tree will be erected at One Bishopsgate Plaza, outside the Pan Pacific London hotel. The tree, made of 65,000 LED sparkling lights and over 800 red and gold baubles, has been created by The Christmas Decorators.

Impulse

We are delighted to reveal IMPULSE – an interactive sound and light playground made up of six see-saws that respond to the riders’ movements at St Helen’s Square. A City of London premier, Impulse is an invitation to play, laugh and transform when put into motion by people, augmented by LED lights and ambient sounds. When not in use, the see-saws will stabilise to the horizontal position and move to a low glowing level. From 2 December – 14 December, this is guaranteed to bring light and joy through the dark months.

City Light Illuminations

This December, the Eastern City shines bright with the City Light IlluminationsCity Light Illuminations. From 2nd–15th December, the façade of 55 Old Broad Street will feature stunning nature-inspired projections by Graphic Rewilding, offering a calming escape from 5pm–10pm nightly. Alongside this, Broadworks Gallery hosts ‘Hope, Joy and Divination’ (3rd–12th December, 11am–6pm), a vibrant neon exhibition featuring renowned artists like Chila Burman MBE and Lauren Baker, with a private view on 5th December, 5pm–9pm.

Don’t miss the Broadworks Christmas Party on 5th December, 5pm–11pm, featuring mulled wine, live music from Linett Kamala, and open artist studios. Celebrate creativity and community this winter in the Eastern City!

Community Christmas trees

The Eastern City is delighted to be supporting Christmas trees at Churches across the footprint this festive season. Explore the trees across the stunning and historic sites at St Botolph’s without Bishopsgate, St Helen Undershaft and St Mary Abschurch churchyards. Open for all the community to enjoy.
