Halloween is taking over Leadenhall Market this October, with a giant jewel beetle, miniature curiosities, Halloween craft workshops, spooky walking tours and independent markets coming to the historic City landmark.

At the centre of this year’s Halloween celebrations is a spectacular 2.5-metre-long light-up jewel beetle, descending on the Market from 29 September to 7 October before popping back up for Halloween from 24 October to 1 November. The supersized insect will make a striking free to view photo opportunity beneath Leadenhall’s iconic Victorian roof.

Burials, Bombs & Fantastic Beasts walking tours
As darkness falls, discover the stranger side of the City with the return of Burials, Bombs & Fantastic Beasts.

Running every Wednesday and Friday throughout October, these evening walking tours explore stories of Roman burials, medieval murders, witchcraft and weird and wonderful creatures from Leadenhall Market and the surrounding City.

Discover the Wunderkammer
Step inside the strange world of the Leadenhall Wunderkammer, an installation inspired by traditional German cabinets of curiosities.

Explore three miniature stores, including a tiny video shop celebrating Leadenhall Market’s appearances on the big screen, from Harry Potter to The Imaginarium of Doctor Parnassus.

For Halloween, the Wunderkammer’s serving hatch will be taken over by SoLo Craft Fair. Ring the bell and discover a bewitching collection of Halloween spell kits, filled with an enchanting mix of herbs, scents and gems.
