Strengthening a
world-leading
business district
We are helping to shape a place that consistently attracts and retains innovative global businesses and world-class talent.
The last five years
Our achievements
Our mission is to shape an Eastern City where businesses and people thrive.
We attract new audiences, change perceptions and pilot new ideas that make the Square Mile a better place to work and visit.
As a business-first organisation we connect the public and private sectors, champion the needs and ambitions of our community, then turn ideas into action.
Our three main focus areas (BID themes) are:
-
Your workforce is our priority – we bring them together through events, experiences and initiatives that build a community.
A good working environment goes beyond the office. A rich cultural offer, valuable networks, positive social impact, safety and accessibility in your immediate surroundings play crucial roles in attracting and developing talent.
-
We are proactive stewards of the area, celebrating 2,000 years of history while helping set the standard for world-class contemporary urban design and streetscape management.
Driven by excellence, we enhance public spaces with greenery, cleaning, seating and public art. We encourage exploration of the district by sign-posting the hidden gems and transforming unused space into experiences.
We are helping to attract new audiences to the Square Mile and change its perception; a destination in its own right for domestic and international visitors, not just a place of work.
-
We play a unique role in bringing businesses, institutions and decision-makers together to strengthen the Eastern City and shape its future.
Through leadership events, strategic partnerships and industry engagement we ensure that the voice of local business is reflected in the area, whilst helping to raise the profile of the Eastern City on both a national and global stage.
We create connections that turn ideas into action, so businesses and organisations achieve more together than they could alone.
