FREE Giant Scalextric Racing Comes to Hypha x Eastern City Studios This August

Looking for a fun, free summer day out for the whole family? Whether you’re a budding racer, a competitive grown-up, or just looking for something different to do, we’ve got something for everyone. This August, Hypha x Eastern City Studios is transforming into the ultimate family fun destination with FREE Giant Scalextric Racing and a host of exciting activities

From 25-29 August, everyone is invited to drop in and experience the thrill of giant-scale slot car racing. Whether you’re a seasoned Scalextric champion or picking up a controller for the very first time, everyone is welcome to join the action and race for fantastic prizes.

The fun doesn’t stop at the track. Throughout the week, visitors can also enjoy:

• Face painting & airbrush tattoos (from 12-2pm)
• Candy floss
• Popcorn
• Prizes to be won

It’s the perfect way to spend an afternoon during the school holidays, with plenty of entertainment to keep children engaged while parents join in the fun.

There’s no need to reserve a space. Simply turn up, grab a controller, and put your racing skills to the test.

Take on our Fastest Lap Challenge and race your way to the top of the leaderboard.

Set your fastest time on our competition track and, at the end of each day, the three fastest racers will each win a Scalextric racing prize!

How to enter

• Anyone can take part – simply have a go on the competition track.
• Our team will record your fastest time on the daily leaderboard.
• Our team will take your name and email address so we can contact you if you win.
• The top three fastest times each day will win.
• Winners will be contacted after the event to arrange delivery of their prize.

Terms & Conditions

• The competition is free to enter and open to anyone participating in the Scalextric Fastest Lap Challenge during the event.
• Entrants must complete a timed lap on the designated competition track. Times will be recorded by event staff and added to the daily leaderboard.
• The three fastest valid times recorded each day will each win a Scalextric racing prize. Prizes are subject to availability and an alternative prize of a similar value may be provided if required.
• In the event of a tie, event staff may ask the relevant participants to complete an additional timed lap to determine the winner.
• Winners will be determined at the end of each event day and contacted using the details provided when entering.
• Entrants must provide a valid name and email address so that they can be contacted if they win. Contact details collected for the competition will only be used to administer the competition and arrange delivery of prizes, in accordance with the Eastern City BID privacy policy.
• Winners must respond within 14 days of being contacted. If a winner does not respond within this period, Eastern City BID reserves the right to offer the prize to the participant with the next fastest qualifying time.
• Prizes will be delivered or otherwise provided to winners following confirmation of their details. Prizes are non-transferable and no cash alternative is available.
• Eastern City BID reserves the right to disqualify an entry where there is evidence of unfair play, interference with the equipment or failure to follow instructions provided by event staff.
• Eastern City BID reserves the right to amend, suspend or withdraw the competition where circumstances outside its reasonable control make this necessary.
