City of London Corporation Publishes Responsible Procurement Impact Report 2025-26
The City of London Corporation has released its third Responsible Procurement Impact Report, highlighting the positive social, environmental and economic impact delivered through its supply chain during 2025-26.
The report showcases how suppliers are helping to support communities, reduce carbon emissions, create employment opportunities and drive wider social value across the City.
A key focus of this year’s report is the progress made in improving carbon reporting. Over the past year, 40 suppliers provided contract-specific emissions data, representing almost 50% of the Corporation’s spend on purchased goods and services. This marks a significant step forward in measuring and reducing supply chain emissions.
The report also highlights several examples of supplier-led impact, including:
Nearly 10,000kg of CO₂e saved through the reuse of police uniforms by DHL.
189 volunteering hours delivered by Sykes & Son to support Hestia, London’s largest provider of modern slavery support services.
40 SMEs engaged by Buro Happold to help develop innovative climate solutions for the Square Mile.
More than 31,700 training hours delivered through Clink Events, supporting employability and rehabilitation outcomes.
Increased use of RSPCA Assured dairy products across catering contracts.
A 16-month internship programme supporting skills development and software innovation through Lightbulb Analytics.
The report demonstrates how responsible procurement can deliver benefits far beyond purchasing alone, from supporting local businesses and apprenticeships to promoting ethical employment practices and accelerating climate action. It also reinforces the City Corporation’s commitment to working with suppliers that share its values and contribute to long-term positive outcomes for local communities.
