Join us for a week-long celebration in partnership with Verte. This swap invites you to refresh your wardrobe sustainably while discovering new ways to care for, customise, and fall back in love with your clothes.

Alongside the swap, we’re hosting a curated programme of complimentary, hands-on workshops designed to inspire creativity, extend the life of your garments, and redefine your personal style.

CLOTHES SWAP

Bring up to five items of adult clothing and 10 items for children (up to age 12) to exchange with our in-store clothing swap. Please note, no accessories will be accepted for adults. Please visit our FAQs section for more guidance on how our swapping system works.

REPAIR SERVICES

We want to help keep all items in use for longer, so have you got something which needs fixing or something which no longer fits? Bring along any two clothing items which need minor alterations or repairs to discuss with our seamstress. See FAQs for more details.

About Verte

Verte is a pop-up swap-shop for pre-loved fashion with the sole purpose of reducing the impact our wardrobes have on the planet. The events encourage you to adopt a circular approach to refreshing your wardrobe by avoiding the need to buy new. Verte has been running events all over London & the UK since 2019 and most recently has run events for Westfield, Deliveroo, Visa and Soho House. Verte is on a mission to build a community centred in sustainability and enable high quality, pre-loved shopping experiences – through public pop-up events and also in office experiences to build workplace culture for businesses.

How it works

Step 1 – Choose your items
Choose wisely, up to five items, of those pieces you love but just don’t wear anymore and bring them along.

Step 2 – Claim your tokens
Depending on the quality of your items, Verte will give you a corresponding number of tokens. It’s a sliding scale depending on brand, quality and condition.

Step 3 – Let’s go shopping
Once we open the rails, go shopping!
We rotate stock throughout the swap to keep the rails fresh for the entire event.

FAQs

• What items are accepted?

Womenswear & Menswear with a focus on premium high street clothing.

• We want anything you are bored of wearing, have grown out of (physically or mentally) or just no longer like.

Focus on quality, not quantity. Nothing can have rips or stains or be missing buttons/belts etc.

We don’t accept; underwear, swimwear, skinny jeans or activewear (unless the tags are still on), shoes, jewellery or accessories.

Everything you want to swap needs to still be in great condition so nothing which is overly worn – just make sure things are pieces you would be excited to walk away with! If you want tips on where or what you can do with older items, please just ask us!

Please make sure items have been washed.

• What happens to the clothes which aren’t swapped?

Some are kept to power the business, some are donated to charity partner and some are given to fashion students for use in projects that need material.

• What if I don’t find anything that I like at the swap?

We hope this isn’t the case as we will aim to have clothes for all tastes and sizes, but Verte hold swaps regularly across London so if you sign up to their online app, you’ll be able to retain your leftover tokens to use at another swap! Please note, they are valid for one year.

• Is the event free?

Yes!

• How does the token system work?

Items are given a token value of between 1 & 5 depending on brand and quality and condition.

• Token System:

1 token: lower-end brands or basic items, e.g. F&F, Primark, TU

2 tokens: mid-range items e.g. John Lewis, Next, Zara, H&M

3 tokens: high-end high street brands or heavier, structured items e.g. Cos, Whistles, Arket

4-5 tokens: top end brands, best quality, e.g. Maje, DVF, Ba&sh

Gold tokens: designer brands, RRP over £250, premium quality

Please note, the event organisers have the right to allocate tokens and will communicate the values upon check in.

• Do I need to book?

You need to book for the workshops, but for the swap and repair services, just come along.

• How does the repair service work?

Bring along up to two pieces of clothing in need of darning, rips repairing, buttons sewing back on, hems resewn etc. We will operate on a first come, first serve basis and do as many items as we can in the time allocated. Should we not get time for it or you have a larger alteration to do, this can be arranged directly with the seamstress on the day and may incur an additional charge which you will discuss on the day.
