TfL Works Notification: A10 Bishopsgate Blue Barrier Removal (22 April – 2 July 2025)
Transport for London (TfL) will begin works along the A10 Bishopsgate corridor from 22 April to 2 July 2025, removing the existing blue pedestrian barriers and replacing them with bolt-down kerbs. These changes form part of a wider ambition to improve the street layout and pedestrian experience in the area.
In addition, drainage upgrades will be carried out, and a temporary site compound will be set up opposite 33 Gracechurch Street.
Key Details:
- Works duration: 22 April – 2 July 2025
- Hours: Most works will take place overnight (9pm–5am), with noisier works scheduled earlier in the evening.
- No weekend works, except for early morning finishes on Saturdays and a few scheduled day works.
- Taxi rank at Liverpool Street will remain open.
- Bus stops will be temporarily suspended and relocated during specific phases – full schedule listed below.
- Access to local businesses and streets (including Devonshire Row and Liverpool Street) will be maintained.
BID Area Impacts:
- Sections of Bishopsgate and Gracechurch Street will be affected in phases.
- Temporary bus stop relocations and parking bay suspensions will occur during works near your premises.
- Traffic diversions will be in place at certain locations, particularly during later phases of the works.
We encourage businesses and residents to plan ahead for possible access disruptions. TfL is working in short phases to minimise inconvenience.
